In this Holy Season
Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter,
we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us:
for shining star and angel’s song,
for infant’s cry in lowly manger.
We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child.
We behold his glory, and are bathed in its radiance.
Be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas,
the incomprehensible comprehended,
the poetry made hard fact,
the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder.
We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, wise men.
Help us to rise bigger than we are. Amen.

Emmanuel Church – Pokfulam is a friendly, inclusive, English speaking church in the Anglican / Church of England / Episcopal tradition. We come from a variety of backgrounds and denominations and we welcome people of all church backgrounds or none. Many of our people are young families and we have a lively Sunday School every week.
Our Sunday Service at Emmanuel Church is a Sung Eucharist (Holy Communion). Children and adults are together for the beginning and end of the Service – in between the children have their Sunday School groups. We hold monthly Family Services.
All baptised people are welcome to receive Communion at our Service, especially if it is their practice elsewhere. People who receive Communion have usually been baptised.
We hope our style and tradition will suit you.
Weather Rules
In the event of a black rainstorm or T8 or above at 9.00am or later on a Sunday, the service that day will be cancelled – even if the signal is lowered before 10.15am.
